Pete grew up in Oxenhope and Bingley, Yorkshire to his adopted and very caring parents, Doris and Wilson. In their later years Pete moved his mum and dad down to Gosport so that they were closer and could be better looked after. Some time after his mum and dad passed away Pete decided to research his origins. He was delighted to discover that, in addition to his close cousins, he also had two brothers. This discovery enabled him to strike up a great friendship with his 'new' brother Derrick.
